Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great honor and privilege to welcome you all to the 30th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Indonesian Neurosurgical Society, held at the Swiss Bell Hotel Harbour Bay, Batam, Kepulauan Riau from August 27th to 29th, 2026.

This year's theme, "Neurosurgery Excellence in Care," embodies our shared vision to continually advance neurosurgical science, practice, and compassion. It reflects our dedication not only to clinical excellence but also to the holistic care of patients, ensuring that innovation and humanity walk hand in hand.

This meeting is a milestone in our society's journey. It is a platform where knowledge is exchanged, collaborations are strengthened, and new ideas are born. Through lectures, workshops, and discussions, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence and to the future of neurosurgery in Indonesia and beyond.

It is with great honor and pride that I invite you to attend the PERSPEBSI Congress 2026, held in conjunction with the 30th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Indonesian Neurosurgical Society (INS), taking place on August 27th - 30th, 2026 at Swiss-Belhotel Harbour Bay.

Under the theme "Neurosurgery Excellence in Care," this congress represents our unwavering commitment to advancing clinical excellence, strengthening scientific collaboration, and continuously elevating the standards of neurosurgical practice. Excellence in care is not only defined by innovation and technical mastery, but also by compassion, integrity, and patient-centered service.

Call for Abstracts

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Guidelines, selection criteria, and important dates for abstract submission.

General Guidelines

  • Abstract must be submitted and presented in English.
  • You should only submit work if you, or a designee, are committed to registering for and attending the Congress to give your oral or e-poster presentation.
  • Registration is not mandatory in the submission process; however, all presenting authors must register for the Congress deadline by July 17th, 2026.
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts you may submit, however the abstract selection committee aims to achieve a wide geographic spread of presenters.
  • There are 2 presentation types: Oral and E-Poster. You may indicate your preference, but the Abstract Selection Committee will make the final format determination.
  • Abstracts cannot contain advertising, trade names, or product group messages. Please use generic names or terms in your abstract content.

Abstract Form

  • Abstracts of original research and case report/series are considered.
  • The person submitting the abstract will automatically be the presenting author.
  • The submitter (presenting author) is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors agree to be listed on the abstract.
  • Abstract typed using font Arial, one space, justified adjustment.
  • Title maximum 20 words and keywords maximum 4.
  • Abstract body maximum 300 words, including Objective, Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Authors maximum 11, including full names with institutions and country.
  • Preferred presentation type may be oral or e-poster, but the Abstract Selection Committee will make the final format determination.
  • Disclose conflict of interest and accept terms and conditions.

Abstract Selection

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee to ensure that high-quality scientific submissions are selected for presentation at the congress. The following criteria will be used to accept the abstracts:

  • Significance of the abstract for neurosurgery.
  • Innovativeness of ideas, methods, and/or approach.
  • Rigor of methods and approach.
  • Presentation of empirical findings.
  • Implications identified for future research, practice, and/or policy.
  • Clarity of writing.

Notification of the Abstract Selection Committee's decision will be sent by August 1st, 2026 via WhatsApp Group.

Registration / Attendance Requirement

The presenting author (oral or e-poster) must register for and attend the Congress. Registration must be completed by July 17th, 2026. If a presenting author does not register by the deadline, all accepted abstracts by that presenting author will be removed from the program.
